grace & tom had a gorgeous day for their beachside wedding at windows on the water…thank you cheryl for keeping things running effortlessly…the flowers were amazing as usual courtesy of the ladies at petal beach floral design, and everyone looked their best do to the hair and makeup artistry of la sorella bridal…it was an extra special treat working with mike walter from elite entertainment and i always enjoy working with barbara wentzel…she keeps things lively!
i love small, intimate beachside weddings especially when they take place in asbury park a place near and dear to me in so many ways…and i especially love when i get to see some of my favorite professionals…it makes it all the more sweeter…denise vacchiano did her usual amazing job with jen’s hair and nina from perfect faces had jen glowing and perfect for the beach…reverand jill dillner is always so much fun to work with and i cannot recommend her enough for your ceremony…sunset florist’s bouquets were beautiful and it was a blast working with jay thompson from elite entertainment…thank you rachel at mcloone’s supper club for always making it a pleasure to work there…after a quick stop at brickwall in asbury park where this couple had their first date, we headed to the boardwalk for some photos before their ceremony and reception…take a peak…

i met neva & brian on a late night last year in my studio with neva’s dad, jack, his wife, tatiyana & brian’s son, ryan…it was immediately clear that their wedding was going to be memorable…we spent almost 2 hours together swapping stories and laughing…i could not wait for this year to spend more time with them…their wedding was glamorous, emotional and this couple was surrounded by the love of friends and family and music & dancing and so much laughter, as expected…this was the day before the sandy and it really was the calm before the storm…our day started at the berkeley oceanfront hotel in asbury park with yossi bouskila hairstylist & daria debiak, makeup artist where neva & her attendants got ready followed by a mass at st. james in red bank and photographs at monmouth university where neva works…the ballroom at the berkeley looked gorgeous bathed in purple and accented by centerpieces provided by petal beach floral designs…and corey fox from elite entertainment was fantastic…
just as beautiful light can enhance a couple’s day so can the palette of an impending storm at the right location…the grounds at rumson country club on the banks of the navesink is just such as place…it is simple beauty…water, trees in varying colors of greens and a plethora of grasses are a wonderful backdrop on any given day there but add the drama of black& blue looming storm clouds to the sky above and it is simply exquisite…the wind was whipping all around and we literally had about fifteen minutes with of calm with margo and jeff before the sky opened up…in a venue like this with both sides open to the outside it can be very romantic…and as is usually the case with my couples we managed to get all of the photos we needed before the very wet ending to the day…it was great working with jen anderson on video and corey fox from elite entertainment was wonderful! additional credits: makeup: jeanine mangan hair: lia from tranquility salon florist: boxwood gardens strings: art strings bride’s gown: augusta jones (kleinfeld NY) trolley: great american trolley limousine: santo vip
