the wind really kicked up last weekend for taryn & keith’s wedding on the asbury park beach but luckily taryn wore a dress from Dolly Couture, NYC that was just PERFECT for it! as you will see in this preview…i had such a great time spending the morning with this wonderful couple…taryn’s day began getting her hair done by denise vacchiano at salon L and peter james created a lovely bouquet to go with taryn’s vintage dress and sassy chic birdcage veil…nick from imagine entertainment was his usual entertaining and kept everyone smiling and dancing at mcloone’s asbury grill…the day ended with a quick bike ride down the boardwalk on the vintage bikes that the couple had brought with them…a special thank you to jessica leigh morrisey for the assist today!

this was my first time at stone terrace and while the grounds were not huge the setting was initimate and quite lovely! cynthia from oleander botanicals in millstone did a beautiful job with the ceremony site as well as the reception room…sara and i were there for just a few hours, we did manage to capture the waltz that theresa & jason had practiced… additional credits:

katelyn & david had the perfect day for their wedding…september is my favorite month to take photographs at the beach…the weather is still warm enough, the light is gorgeous and the beach is empty of the sunbathers and school children…after the church ceremony in oradell, we made a quick stop in pier village for a few photographs as this was where david proposed to katelyn and then headed to windows on the water…i loved the rose colored bridesmaids dresses which was the same shade as the sash on katelyn’s pretty sottero & midgely gown…beautiful flowers provided by laurel wreath & entertainment was provided by elegant ensembles/full effect and the evening ended with these large wish lanterns that were lit and released off the deck into the night sky…
just as beautiful light can enhance a couple’s day so can the palette of an impending storm at the right location…the grounds at rumson country club on the banks of the navesink is just such as place…it is simple beauty…water, trees in varying colors of greens and a plethora of grasses are a wonderful backdrop on any given day there but add the drama of black& blue looming storm clouds to the sky above and it is simply exquisite…the wind was whipping all around and we literally had about fifteen minutes with of calm with margo and jeff before the sky opened up…in a venue like this with both sides open to the outside it can be very romantic…and as is usually the case with my couples we managed to get all of the photos we needed before the very wet ending to the day…it was great working with jen anderson on video and corey fox from elite entertainment was wonderful! additional credits: makeup: jeanine mangan hair: lia from tranquility salon florist: boxwood gardens strings: art strings bride’s gown: augusta jones (kleinfeld NY) trolley: great american trolley limousine: santo vip

i always have a ball when i see this family…from their fun filled wedding at the imperia a few years where i have yet to see a groom as excited as brian was on his day to lauren’s maternity photos a year later resulting in their lively, sparkly daughter, madison…she is a little carbon copy of her daddy…with her big smile and adorable pigtails, the onlookers on the boardwalk could not get over her and neither could i…
