two years ago i had the pleasure of photographing the carnival for pam callahan which benefits PALS (people with als) and joan dancy’s als organiztion which was started by my friend the late, terry magovern, after joan was diagnosed and passed away from this horrible disease…the day was rainy but full of warmth for pam and her beautiful children and loving husband, don…everyone there wanted to help in some small way to ease their burden and provide much needed services to those afflicted with this cruel disease which robs it’s victims of their ability to move or verbally communicate leaving them literally trapped within…for people like pam, who, through all accounts was an extremely active woman, it is devastating…she fought the good fight and did whatever she could to help others and lived to find a cure…her family should be extremely proud…sadly, pam lost her battle this past week, far too young and way too soon for those who loved her…i feel priviledged that i was able to meet the callahans and pray for their family…pam’s good work will continue on so please give what you can if you can…it will be appreciated…

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Pam’s name can be made to the UMass ALS Champions Fund at www.umassals.com to support research to defeat ALS or, alternatively, to the Joan Dancy and PALS Foundation at www.joandancyandpals.com to benefit local ALS patient services.

Thank you for honoring Pam on your blog and especially for the gift of your talent and time at Carnival for Pals. The beautiful memories you captured will live on forever and Pam always enjoyed looking back on the photographs to remember the special times. We will fight on- in her name and for all who face this nightmare and best kept secret disease.

Avoiding Wedding Hair Disasters from La Sorella Bridal
02/07/2012 Posted In: Beauty and Makeup
Smooth away any pre-wedding stress you may have with these how to avoid wedding hair disasters tips from La Sorella Bridal. Staying in your comfort zone when choosing a hair style for your wedding day will not only keep your style simple and more sophisticated, but it will have a natural look. If your hair is straight and you fear a curl not holding or worst of all not lasting throughout the night then do what your hair does best and keep your hair sleek and smooth. Hair that is in good condition can look just as sexy when left in its natural state. This same advice goes for those with naturally curly hair. Use your natural curl within your style by having your hair stylist define each curl following your natural curl pattern. Keeping your hairstyle close to what you’re used to might help to avoid any hair disasters on the big day.La Sorella Bridal

Thank you so much for your lovely words!

olivia’s mommy & daddy, jeanette & craig, had quite the adventure waiting for her arrival but was she ever worth it!  she is as lovely and sweet as her mommy and has a smile as big as her daddy’s everytime he sees her…it is such a joy for me to be able to continue to document the continuing love stories of those whose wedding days i shared…jeanette & craig were one of my favorite couples and i could not be any happier for them…i was so happy to meet you olivia and loved our time together…is there anything sweeter than a sleeping baby? xo…

last week when we had that GORGEOUS and WARM (that’s right, warm) february night, i went down to a lovely little sandy patch of beach in oceanport and photographed the gorgeous  table designs and flowers for petal beach and their website…it was so much fun spending time with bonnie and chris, we always have such a ball together and i just loved what they put together for the shoot…AND not only was the weather perfect, but so was the light…take a look…
